This website presents a one-person practice working in sharpening of cutting tools: kitchen knives, scissors and shears, and bench edges for woodwork such as chisels, plane irons and carving gouges, ground and honed by hand on stones to the angle each tool needs, with damaged edges redrawn cool so the steel keeps its hardness. The material here — text, illustrations and service descriptions — is informational. It is not an offer, a booking or a contract.

3. Illustrations

Where this site uses illustrations, they represent the type of work we do and are not photographs of specific items we hold in stock. Availability, specification and price change, and are confirmed only when we quote them to you in writing.

4. What an enquiry is

Writing to us opens an enquiry; it does not reserve, book or buy anything, and no payment passes through this site. Whatever is agreed later is agreed in writing.
